How does the ordering process work?

You have two options when ordering. There is a self checkout option, in which you get to select your flavors, sizing and build your own design or concept with the options provided or provide your own description. Then there is the cake consultation option, in which you can apply for an appointment for $50 and work with the owner to create a fully customized experience. Both options are unique experiences in which you get to create a custom product and control the amount of time you would like to dedicate to its creation.

How does the ordering process work for the “CUSTOM CAKE” menu?

The ordering process for the “Custom Cake” menu is meant to be similar to a build your own/ self checkout experience. It is unique in that you get to create your own product in one sitting without having to have the back and forth conversation with the cake artist. This process is meant to be quick, efficient and geared to the customer who knows what they want or prefers to leave creativity to the cake artist. Through this option you will select flavors, sizing, and small pre-set design elements or provide a written description. From here you select a date and time for pick up that follows the ordering policy and continue through with check out.

How does the ordering process for a Event Consultation option work?

This process is designed to be a very detailed and in depth experience in which you set up a personal appointment, through zoom, phone or in person. This one-on-one consultation is meant to create a completely customized experience in which the customer will be a lot more hands on and have greater influence over design, taste and venue arrangements. This option requires a $50 deposit that is non-refundable but will go to the final cost of your order. The option includes free delivery, ability for flavor changes or requests from the menu as well as other custom made desserts. This option best suits those that have very specific events and requirements for their event. YOU MAY INQUIRY IF THIS OPTION IS RIGHT FOR YOU WITHOUT PAYMENT.

Where are you located?

Sugar and Poi is a home bakery that is partnered with a support kitchen. Located in Wahiawā, there is no store front location in which to purchase an order. All orders are pre-order and scheduled for pick up.

How can i purchase a cake?

You can only purchase a cake through the website. You can pick from the menu or schedule for an custom cake appointment.

How far in advanced do i need to order?

All orders must be made 5 DAYS or more in advanced. Anything less than that time frame will be cancelled and fully refunded.

What is your ordering and cancellation policy?

Ordering Policy:

All orders are to be made in more than 5 DAYS in advanced. Any orders purchased in less than that time frame will be canceled and fully refunded. All orders are subject to change depending on availability, in which you will be notified via email. If any changes are needed to be made then you must notify via email within two days of ordering. Anything later than two days may be subject to a fee.

Cancellation Policy:

Orders placed in a week or more in advanced are able to be cancelled for full refund up to four days from pick-up. Orders cancelled three days in advanced will be subject to a 50% refund and orders cancelled within two days or less will NOT BE REFUNDABLE. .

How do I know where to pick up?

Once your order is placed and confirmed a confirmation email will be sent with details for pick up time and location. The location pick-up will be in Wahiawā, on O’ahu.
