Inspired by Neko Koneko’s Kinako Latte, this cake offers a refined reinterpretation of the classic tiramisu. Hawaiian vanilla bean cake, delicately soaked in Kona coffee, is topped with the light and tangy, house-made mascarpone cream creating a foundation in traditional flavors. A dusting of toasted kinako powder and a smooth kinako pastry cream creates a depth of warm, roasted nuttiness, while a velvety chocolate ganache weaves in the familiar richness of tiramisu. Each bite finishes with the elegant crunch of a chocolate macadamia nut feuilletine, leaving a balanced, creamy impression.
Design Concept
Inspired by Designer Luna Curtois, co-founder alongside Indie Pyzel for Benoa swim, this design is an adaptation of their popular hibiscus swimsuit pattern. Inspired by the 90’s Hawai’i surf aesthetic, Sugar and Poi’s interpretation evokes a vintage island feel that is meant to be the iconic centerpiece of any celebration.
